Training Week -- 11/2 - 11/8

Only group rides this week. The intensity is really painful and probably not the best idea just yet, but perhaps it's good to remember those sensations so it's not such a shock in January.

Mon: 0
Tue: 1 hr; lunchtime torture, dropped 3 times (after my pulls)
Wed: 0
Thu: 1 hr; OSM, 18:20 max effort, slight tailwind assist
Fri: 0
Sat: 2.5 hr; SB - 2nd Casitas - SB
Sun: 2.5 hr; Worlds

Hey Mark,

Just checked back in to see what you were up to lately. Glad to see you'll be racing again. Next year should be a lot of fun. It sounds like there will be plenty of good competition.

Nice to hear from you Josh. Yes, I'm excited about racing next year, but I've got a lot of work ahead to get fit! I hope all is well with you and that you're going to be racing often too.

You are right, it seems like 2010 will be very competitive. Here in SB we have tons of people coming out of "retirement" and excited about racing again, including some old crit trash (kidding of course) like Keith Horowitz, Jim White, and Erik Saunders. We've also got some youngsters who are really fired up to race. That's always nice to see.

Yeah, I rode with Jim back in September and he was pretty fired up. He and I were teammates over 10 years ago. Man, time flies. He let me know Saunders was back in SB and fired up as well.
