Western North Carolina Farmers Market

We like to check out Farmers' Markets in places we visit. Yesterday we went to the biggest one I've ever seen, the Western North Carolina Farmers Market in Asheville, NC. It's open for business 7 days a week, and it's probably where most families and restaurants around here get their produce. These farmers (and consumers) don't focus so much on organic methods, but at least they're selling and eating local. 'natch, I took some pics...

Any coincidence that our latest local pros to seek lower housing prices (Aaron and Kim) have moved (today) to Asheville? Lured in by the Farmer's Market perhaps???

Hey Druber,

Last weekend, on the Saturday roco ride, I was babbling on to Kim about how nice Asheville is, and she said it was on her and Aaron's short-list of candidate towns. I said it looked great for riding ...tons of good roads and hills, and a pretty active roadie population (at least according to one bike shop owner I talked to). Then the very next day she said they made the decision. I think she was just kidding that my comments pushed them over the edge!

Our loss is Asheville's gain.

Dang, has it really been two weeks since I updated this blog!?!? What a slacker! At least I should post some vacation pictures or something...

I was just about to post a comment calling you a slacker for not updating...oops, I guess I just did. Of course, you did it first ;-)
