Training Week -- 1/11 - 1/17

More of the same, especially trying to do hard efforts after 3+ hrs of riding. Endurance is good; short-term recovery is improving noticeably; climbing is still too weak; day-to-day recovery is terrible.

Mon: 0
Tue: 5 hrs; 8:00 roco + lunchtime hammerfest, hard pulls
Wed: 1 hr; recovery
Thu: 1.5 hr; OSM (10000:11111) + 75% Painted Caves
Fri: 1 hr; easy
Sat: 5 hr; around Casitas, some hard pulls
Sun: 3.5 hr; 1/2 of Worlds + a little extra, really fatigued

Total: 17 hours

You did OSM in 32:63?

Or, did you mean 16:31?

I'm definitely no binary maven (being a mechanical engineer and all), but I think you might have too many digits in those binary numbers...(you didn't actually think that bit of obfuscation would work, did you?)

Indeed, apparently you're not.

Hmmm...let's do this manually. The number in front of the colon is 100000, which by my memory is (1x2^5)= 32 , no?

Hey! Did you edit that? Or was I just seeing too many zeros our something...doh!

You probably made the very common mistake of forgetting that the last digit in binary represents the final 1 or 0 when summing up powers of 2.

16 = 1*2^4 + 0*2^3 + 0*2^2 + 0*2^1 + 0*2^0

&

31 = 1*2^4 + 1*2^3 + 1*2^2 + 1*2^1 + 1*2^0

Hah! I got you to admit your time...hehehe...

Seriously though...I think I just had an optical delusion of some sort (I blame it on your dark blog background :-P )and thought those were 6 digit binary numbers instead of 5...

It's a good think I'm not a programmer.
