Training Week -- 9/3 - 9/9

Huge, for me anyway. And pretty enjoyable really ...makes me wonder why I was so lazy in my previous 30 years of cycling and bike racing. Slow learner I guess.

Number of rides: 7
Riding time: 25 hrs
Time in mid/high aerobic zone: 14 hrs
Best ride of the week: 10x OSM on Monday
Other: none
Notes:
- 44 kft of climbing

Mr. D'Velo's Dad- Gary is crushing it right now. He will grind up those Sierra granite mountains into a fine powder...

Wow, that's great, so many training hours! So I'm curious, what do you do work-wise that gives you such freedom to train? :)

Cynthia- I am very fortunate to have an extremely flexible schedule currently. I develop computer simulation software, and when I work, I do 95% of it from home. I say "when I work" because I've done it part time for the last few years and there are periods where I don't work at all. I spent the first 17 years of my career putting in long hours and traveling tons. Climbing the ladder, so to speak. Then a couple years ago, I switched roles (partially) with my wife so that her job takes priority. Now I do most of my riding during the day when the kids are at school. In fact, off for a ride right now...
